A Sampling of My Art
The artwork pieces included in this section are a sampling of Jackson Fahnestock's work over the past several years. As the owner of Bayside Press and author of Shu Wei's Revenge, many of the pieces—particularly the etchings—were inspired by his many business trips to East- and Southeast-Asia. These influences informed both his young adult book and the artwork.
One of the etchings ("Neolithic II")is housed in the Prints and Photographs Division of the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C. Another, "Tende II" is featured in the publication "California Society of Printmakers, One Hundred Years, 1913—2013."
His work has been shown in galleries around the San Francisco Bay Area and in the Seattle Art Museum.
